At the age of five, children begin preparing for one of the most important milestones in their early years - entering Grade 1.
The sudden changes in environment, learning methods, and daily routines may easily cause anxiety or school shock if students are not well prepared beforehand.
To help children enjoy coming to school while developing essential foundational skills before Grade 1, UNIGO College offers a specialized Preschool Program designed specifically for Kindergarten K3 learners.
The program incorporates contemporary pedagogical methods such as Design Thinking–based classroom models, learning by doing, and learning through play.
These approaches enable students to learn joyfully, participate actively, explore with curiosity, and apply knowledge and skills to real-life contexts - promoting autonomy and a genuine love of learning.
All instructional methods are applied consistently across the curriculum, ensuring a coherent and well-connected learning experience for students.

The UNIGO Preschool Program is developed in alignment with The Education Law (2019), The Child Law (2016) and The learning outcomes for 5–6-year-old preschool children as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnamese Early Childhood Education standards and global best practices. The program is built to match children’s developmental characteristics, address current learning needs, foster holistic development, and ensure smooth continuity to the General Education Curriculum at the primary level.
Designed with a child-centered orientation and the philosophy of “learning through play, play as learning”.
The program is thoughtfully structured around six key learning areas: Language – Arts – Math & Computer Science – Nature & Society – Personal Development – Physical Development.
The program aims to help students:
- Become familiar with primary school routines, learning styles, and classroom activities.
- Build healthy habits and adapt confidently to primary school life.
- Develop independence, concentration, self-learning, problem-solving, and responsibility.
- Foster a love for learning and build confidence for a smooth transition to Grade 1.
- Expand knowledge of nature and society through hands-on exploration such as planting and caring for plants, nurturing empathy and a love for the environment.
- Strengthen social skills, emotional intelligence, and artistic expression.
- Develop age-appropriate physical strength and motor skills.
- Improve listening, responding, and basic communication in English - forming a foundation for bilingual or international programs at the primary level.
The program focuses strongly on skill-building, placing students at the center and nurturing their best development in a safe, friendly, and positive learning environment.
- Observing nature and creating art products using natural materials such as leaves, flowers, twigs, and stones.
- Drawing, sculpting, cutting, collage, and assembling based on familiar themes such as spring, summer, autumn, winter, or “people I love.”
- Making 2D and 3D cards, toys, and decorative items from recycled materials.
- Participating in classroom exhibitions.
- Observing, imitating, and retelling stories using wordless picture books.
- Listening to and retelling engaging stories familiar to children's daily lives
- Practicing expressive storytelling through gestures, facial expressions, and body movement.
- Using props such as puppets and stuffed animals in storytelling.
- Role-playing and performing skits based on stories.
- Creating new scenes or alternative storylines.
- Observing and asking questions about natural phenomena and daily life.
- Identifying common vegetables, fruits, flowers, plants, and animals.
- Learning about nutrition and healthy eating habits.
- Carrying out scientific projects such as growing microgreens and planting flowers, and tracking their development over time.
- Conducting simple science experiments to explore soil, water, air, light, and other natural elements.
- Practicing self-care and self-management: personal hygiene, organizing books and supplies, cleaning the classroom, and maintaining the dining area.
- Developing polite manners: greeting, thanking, apologizing, and making respectful requests.
- Learning teamwork skills and engaging positively with classmates and people around them.
- Daily emotional check-ins.
- Building an emotional vocabulary bank.
- Identifying and naming emotions.
- Practicing relaxation and emotional regulation strategies.

- Practicing safe motor skills: crawling, climbing, walking, running, and jumping.
- Learning basic formation routines and following instructions during movement activities.
- Practicing water-safety skills and basic drowning-prevention techniques.

During elective sessions, students engage in free-choice activities such as relaxation, reading, coloring, or exploring the Math Corne.
After the lunch break, students choose activities that best match their personal needs and interests.

- Develop listening and speaking skills through words, phrases, and sentences related to familiar, everyday topics such as Self-Introduction, My Body, Daily Life, Family, School & Friends, Plants & Flowers, Animals, Traffic Signs, Dreams, and more.
- Use vocabulary, expressions, and sentence structures appropriately in real-life situations connected to the topics studied.
- Participate in role-play activities to solve everyday situations related to the learning themes.
- Memorize traditional Vietnamese nursery rhymes and take part in games inspired by these folk rhymes.
- Recognize and read all letters of the Vietnamese alphabet.
- Distinguish between vowels and consonants in Vietnamese.
- Blend letter sounds to form syllables and read simple Vietnamese words.
- Build vocabulary and sentence patterns through familiar themes such as the classroom and school supplies, the human body, emotions, food, home, clothing, plants, and animals.

Mathematics
- Read, write, count, compare, and order numbers from 1 to 10.
- Ask and answer questions about quantity.
- Develop an understanding of addition and subtraction through hands-on activities using objects, pictures, and numbers.
- Identify and sort two-dimensional shapes (square, circle, rectangle, triangle) and three-dimensional shapes (cube, rectangular prism, etc.).
- Measure length, weight, time, and other basic quantities.
- Explore simple charts and graphs.
- Learn mathematics through games involving numbers, shapes, building neighborhoods, sorting objects, and other hands-on activities.
Coding & Computational Thinking
- Explore fundamental programming concepts such as algorithms and debugging through interactive unplugged activities (without using computers).
- Learn how to turn computers on and off and use educational software and applications.
- Understand digital safety rules, including safe computer use and healthy screen-time habits to protect eyesight.
- Practice creating sequences of commands, movement, loops, and events through beginner-friendly coding activities.
- Develop collaboration skills through pair programming and complete individual coding projects on the computer.

Music Appreciation
- Develop vocal skills, learn, and perform age-appropriate children's songs.
- Practice dancing and moving to music with both Vietnamese and English songs.
- Learn to play simple musical instruments such as rhythm sticks, tambourines, and recorders.
- Build confidence through stage experience by participating in classroom and school performances
Creative Visual Arts

- Design and create 2D and 3D greeting cards, toys, decorative items, and other creative products using recycled materials.
- Collaborate with classmates to organize and present classroom art exhibitions.
