As part of the Semester 1 Experiential Learning and Local Education Program for the 2026-2027 academic year, primary and lower secondary students at UNIGO School embarked on an exciting educational trip to Glory Resort, located in the Doi Dai area, Tung Thien Ward, Hanoi, Vietnam. The trip provided UNIANS with valuable opportunities to explore new knowledge, discover Vietnamese traditional culture, develop practical skills, and learn through a wide range of engaging hands-on activities.
At Glory Resort, UNIANS took part in a variety of activities celebrating Vietnamese folk culture and traditional crafts. From pottery making and exploring Dong Ho folk paintings to making to he figurines, playing O An Quan (a traditional Vietnamese folk game), and preparing traditional che lam (Vietnamese sticky rice and ginger cake), each activity offered a unique insight into Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage.
Through observation and hands-on practice, UNIGO students had the opportunity to develop their creativity, improve their dexterity, cultivate patience, and gain a deeper appreciation of cultural values passed down through generations.
Alongside cultural activities, the experiential learning trip featured a variety of exciting physical challenges, including grass sliding, Sasuke obstacle courses, maze exploration, archery, and stilts walking.
Exploring the mini zoo and experiencing hands-on fishing activities also allowed students to observe nature and everyday life more closely. Through these experiences, UNIANS were encouraged to explore independently, challenge themselves, cooperate with their peers, and strengthen their sense of independence and teamwork.
Experiential learning and local education provide valuable opportunities for students to connect classroom knowledge with real-life situations. Rather than learning solely through textbooks, students can observe, investigate, practice, and experience what they have learned in authentic settings.
The trip to Glory Resort offered more than just moments of fun and excitement. It also broadened students’ understanding of culture, nature, and everyday life while helping them develop essential skills such as communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and responsibility.
Through meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom, UNIGO School continues to encourage students to take an active role in their learning, nurture their curiosity, and grow through exploration and discovery.
