UNIGO COLLEGE OFFICIALLY INTRODUCES CHINESE INTO ITS CURRICULUM FROM 2026-2027 ACADEMIC YEAR

From the 2026-2027 academic year, Chinese will officially become part of the curriculum at UNIGO COLLEGE through the “Little Panda Chinese - Chinese Language Bridge” programme. Alongside English, the introduction of Chinese will expand the School’s multilingual learning environment, helping UNIGO students strengthen their foreign language proficiency and prepare to embrace future opportunities.

One More Language, More Opportunities for the Future

As international exchange and integration continue to deepen, foreign languages are no longer simply school subjects. They are essential tools that enable young people to connect with the world, access knowledge and broaden their future learning and development opportunities.

While English remains a key international language, Chinese is also widely used across many fields, including economics, trade, culture, tourism and education. Early exposure to an additional language can help students develop greater linguistic flexibility, deepen their cultural understanding and gradually cultivate a global mindset.

With this vision, UNIGO COLLEGE will officially introduce Chinese into its curriculum from the 2026-2027 academic year. This is more than the addition of a new subject; it marks an important step in the School’s journey towards creating a multilingual educational environment.

Alongside its strong emphasis on English education, UNIGO will give students opportunities to learn and practise Chinese, gradually strengthening their communication skills, adaptability and readiness for international integration.

Introducing “Little Panda Chinese - Chinese Language Bridge”

The Chinese language programme at UNIGO COLLEGE is being implemented through a partnership between the School and the Institute of Languages, Culture and International Studies at Thanh Do University.

Entitled “Little Panda Chinese - Chinese Language Bridge”, the programme adopts a modern and engaging teaching approach designed to suit students’ ages, learning characteristics and abilities.

Instead of beginning with theory-heavy lessons, students are introduced to Chinese through familiar topics, visual materials, language games, conversations and everyday communication scenarios. This experience-centred approach helps students feel more comfortable when learning a new language while inspiring their interest from the very first lessons.

Through regular listening, speaking, observation and practice, students can acquire vocabulary more naturally, respond more confidently and gradually apply the language in real-life communication.

Learning with Lecturers from Thanh Do University

One of the programme’s key strengths is the participation of lecturers from Thanh Do University, who bring specialist knowledge in language education and practical teaching experience to the classroom.

In each lesson, the lecturers not only guide students in pronunciation, vocabulary acquisition and sentence structures but also incorporate a variety of interactive activities that encourage them to use Chinese directly.

An open classroom atmosphere and engaging teaching methods make Chinese more approachable and easier to learn. Students are encouraged to listen attentively, express themselves confidently, participate actively and practise with their lecturers and classmates.

As a result, each lesson becomes more than an opportunity to gain knowledge—it is also an engaging journey of linguistic and cultural discovery.

Positive Impressions from Chinese Classes at UNIGO Summer Camp 2026

Before its official introduction in the 2026–2027 academic year, “Little Panda Chinese – Chinese Language Bridge” was introduced to students through Chinese classes at UNIGO Summer Camp 2026.

From the first lessons, the programme attracted strong interest and positive support from parents, while generating enthusiasm among participating students.

Introductory vocabulary, pronunciation activities, interactive games and familiar communication scenarios allowed students to begin learning Chinese in a natural and enjoyable way. Although Chinese was a new language for many of them, the programme’s visual and experience-rich lesson design helped students participate with ease, retain new knowledge and practise with growing confidence.

The positive response to the programme during UNIGO Summer Camp 2026 provided a strong foundation for the School to continue refining it and officially incorporate it into the new academic year’s curriculum.

Building a Multilingual Learning Environment at UNIGO COLLEGE

Introducing Chinese into the curriculum offers students far more than the opportunity to learn another language. Through each lesson, they can also discover a new culture while developing their memory, observation skills, communicative responsiveness and cognitive flexibility.

In the coming years, UNIGO students will gradually benefit from a multilingual learning environment incorporating both English and Chinese. They will also have more opportunities to participate in cultural exchanges, enjoy hands-on experiences and apply their language skills in familiar, practical contexts.

This initiative reflects UNIGO COLLEGE’s commitment to educational innovation, expanded foreign language learning and stronger international connections in its next stage of development.

With professional support from Thanh Do University and a modern teaching approach, “Little Panda Chinese - Chinese Language Bridge” is expected to become an inspiring journey of discovery - helping UNIGO students use foreign languages with greater confidence and prepare to enter the wider world with more opportunities and choices for the future.
